Call To Action! Stop the King Amendment. Protect Animals.

Take Action today, please. This is important for all animal lovers and activists. Stop the King Amendment to the Farm Bill.

The Farm Bill has a critical threat from Senator King of Iowa. The current Bill now includes the ‘King amendment’.

The amendment can repeal animal protection laws.
The work we all have worked so hard to obtain will allow ongoing animal welfare issues allowing:

Farm Animal Confinement such a pigs in gestation cages.
Horse Slaughter
Puppy Mills
Shark Finning
And concerns about child labor, food safety and the environment.

Make three phone calls your U.S. Representative and both U.S. Senators.

Tell them politely but firmly ‘I am a constituent concerned about cruelty to animals. I am asking you to remove the King amendment from the final Farm Bill. If you don’t know who represents you a easy search at the following internet sites will tell you exactly who represents and how to get in contact with them: U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senators

Rescuer

On September 2, 2013 – two days ago -Adele was rescued by Animal Allies of Texas from a concrete kennel in a yard. She is an eight month old Border Collie mix with a terrible case of demodex mange. She has bloody skin infections, cracked and oozing. She was left outside in the Texas heat. On Sunday temperatures reached 104 degrees.

AAT immediately brought her to a vet. Watching the video AAT posted on Facebook you can see the fear and pain and despair in Adele. Today the vet tech and AAT posted that this little girl wagged her tail. Remarkable.

In a sad and ironic twist, Animal Allies of Texas 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization had just suspended intake of animals due to overwhelming financial needs.

And the person that rescued Adele is the treasurer. Why if they are banned by a board of directors would Adele be rescued? Because no one with a soul can walk away from an animal in need or from Adele.

I urge you to help. Help immediately. What can you do? Animal Allies of Texas needs fosters and Adele needs a foster. AAT is in the DFW area of Texas. Open your home and heart. Adele will need love and tender care and medicated bathing along with return trips to the vet.

Rescue Stories. Rosie. Be The Change.

Be the Change. You Make A Difference. Rosie’s Story.

Every action no matter how small helps. If you love animals, Be The Change You Want To See. You make a difference. Today I want to share a story about Rosie and how caring people rescued her and her 40 other dogs kept in deplorable conditions by a horder/breeder.

Rosie is a spirited little girl with so many congenital defects. She had mange when rescued, was covered in filth but somehow had survived even though she has a malformed jaw, teeth problems and fused leg bones. She learned to walk on the upper part of her legs to move around. Because of her misshapen jaws she had to scoop food into her mouth.

Rosie has skin problems as a result of her mange and immune system so she has a bald head. She isn’t a pretty dog. But when I look at her I see a beautiful girl with spirit. She has a wonderful adopted family that loves and cares for her.

When you follow stories of animals with challenges, you come to love them dearly. And they and YOU help educate the world.

Support animal rescue however you can. Donate, volunteer, foster, adopt and educate. You make a difference.

The people that adopted Rosie deserve praise. They are excellent humans.
